Project Cornelius Update

I've been busy working on 'Project Cornelius' lately as well as the ever growing commission list. To make it easier for all of you lovely people to keep up to date with progress and let you have your say I thought I'd resurrect the facebook page. So pop along via the below link and feel free to give it a like. I'll be adding giveaways and all sorts on there over the next few months.

Project Cornelius Update

On top of all the commission work I have been doing recently I've been getting back in to the 'Project Cornelius' zone. I have been working through the script for the comic as well as the rules for the game, and they both seem to be coming along quite well.
Sadly none of this work is particularly great for photos as its all scribbles, word and excel documents. However always one to keep you up to date here is a picture of me holding the notebook lol.

Tonight I'm hoping to sit down with my other unwitting comrade in the project Steve and go through a few bits including the first test of the games combat system. Hopefully the updates will start to pick up speed for you all now. :-)

New Cornelius Logo

I've been a busy boy of late working on 'Project Cornelius'. Since I created the original prologue comic I've developed quite considerably as an artist so decided to create pretty much everything afresh. And what better place to start than the logo itself. So without further a do here is the new logo for 'The Intrepid Endeavours of Cornelius Blow'. Lots more updates to come so watch this space.

Cornelius Update

It's been a while since I did any updates so thought I'd share some of the progress I've been making on Project Cornelius. I'm busy scripting the comic at the moment which is up to about 30 pages and still growing. I have also been working on a new Zombot model to take to the shows and basically terrify everyone into reading the comic when it comes out.

It's early days yet but the base is an old picture frame which I'm building up with air drying clay. Once the clay pavement is finished I can start building the feet and adding detail.

This is the underside of the body which will slot onto the waist when finished. There will be extra armour plates and electrical bits detailing under here when done.

This model was kind of started because I found part of a piece of christmas packaging for the dome that happened to fit perfectly into an old SMA tin. Thus a monster was born.

Just as an indication to the size I've placed a 12" ruler next to him. The legs and body now support their own weight which is a major step. A little more strengthening is required because it's pretty top heavy but you can see where it's heading. Arm and shoulder are the next big additions.

Patreon

The time has come folks to launch my all new Patreon page!!!!!

If you've been watching me online over the last few weeks you may have seen that I've been organising and building up the bits needed to make a Patreon page. For those of you who don't know
Patreon is a form of crowdfunding.
I will be using Patreon as a platform to launch a project that means a lot to me, The Apple Tree Pirates.
The Apple Tree Pirates is an all ages comic based on the meanderings of my now 5yr old daughter Poppy. It follows the exploits of a collection of loveable rogues and is for children and grown ups alike.

Click on the picture above to be taken through to the page or if you'd like to know more here is a little video from the guys over at Patreon explaining just how it works.

If you want to know any more then please feel free to contact me on either of the links below or alternatively email on clumsypickle@hotmail.com

Nottingham Comic Con

Its all getting exciting over here at the pickle jar. On October the 4th I will be exhibiting at Nottingham Comic Con. This is the second year it's been running  now (it was called NerdFest last year). There are a load of very cool comic guests and exhibitors going, so if you get the chance pop on over and say hi.
I will be taking all sorts of things with me this year including sketch cards, custom kicks, and LIA's. I will also be taking all the 'Project Cornelius' stuff with me and some very cool comics I've been working on with people. As if that wasn't enough I'm doing a special Landmark print for Nottingham which will not be available anywhere before then.

So all in all I can't wait. If you fancy coming along then check out the website for details.

See you all soon

Project Cornelius

As I am working full steam ahead on what I'm affectionately calling 'Project Cornelius' aka the comic and kickstarter 'The Intrepid Endeavours of Cornelius Blow' I thought I would add a page to the top of the site so you can see exactly where everything is. I will carry on writing blog updates etc however the bulk of the information will be on the page.

Over the next few weeks there will be sneaky peeks of pages and artwork as well as information on how you guys can help the project out. So watch out for details folks.

Mike :-)
