Patreon

The time has come folks to launch my all new Patreon page!!!!!

If you've been watching me online over the last few weeks you may have seen that I've been organising and building up the bits needed to make a Patreon page. For those of you who don't know
Patreon is a form of crowdfunding.
I will be using Patreon as a platform to launch a project that means a lot to me, The Apple Tree Pirates.
The Apple Tree Pirates is an all ages comic based on the meanderings of my now 5yr old daughter Poppy. It follows the exploits of a collection of loveable rogues and is for children and grown ups alike.

Click on the picture above to be taken through to the page or if you'd like to know more here is a little video from the guys over at Patreon explaining just how it works.

If you want to know any more then please feel free to contact me on either of the links below or alternatively email on clumsypickle@hotmail.com

Display Zombot

As I'm sure many of you are aware I like making things. Generally quite odd things too. As such I'm hoping this won't disappoint. I'm working all guns blazing on the 'Rise of the Zombots' at the moment with one of the main protaganists being the dreaded Zombot. An evil construct of machine and lobotomised human brain.

Well the game itself uses 28mm models which I am sculpting, however I felt that a display piece was in order for the cons and events I'm hoping to show it at. I had a good rummage around through bits and pieces that seem to accumulate in what passes for my office and dug up enough parts to start work.

The size of the model as always was dictated by the clear plastic dome on top, which in this case means the Zombot will be approximately 40cm tall which is roughly 14 times larger than the game figures. That should be pretty striking when stood on the table!! I'll keep you updated on progress folks.

Project Cornelius Update

Hi Folks
Well as promised I have been working on the game 'Rise of the Zombots' which I have almost got a first draft of the rules ready for. Not much to show image wise I'm afraid as its all a lot of writing so far. However I will be working on a lot of artwork soon as well as some very cool models and display pieces.
So as soon as I can I'll have pictures up for you all to see.!!

I'm also thinking of doing a little twitter giveaway so we can get a hashtag going and build up the fan base. What do you all think.?!

Nottingham Comic Con

Its all getting exciting over here at the pickle jar. On October the 4th I will be exhibiting at Nottingham Comic Con. This is the second year it's been running  now (it was called NerdFest last year). There are a load of very cool comic guests and exhibitors going, so if you get the chance pop on over and say hi.
I will be taking all sorts of things with me this year including sketch cards, custom kicks, and LIA's. I will also be taking all the 'Project Cornelius' stuff with me and some very cool comics I've been working on with people. As if that wasn't enough I'm doing a special Landmark print for Nottingham which will not be available anywhere before then.

So all in all I can't wait. If you fancy coming along then check out the website for details.

See you all soon

Project Cornelius

As I am working full steam ahead on what I'm affectionately calling 'Project Cornelius' aka the comic and kickstarter 'The Intrepid Endeavours of Cornelius Blow' I thought I would add a page to the top of the site so you can see exactly where everything is. I will carry on writing blog updates etc however the bulk of the information will be on the page.

Over the next few weeks there will be sneaky peeks of pages and artwork as well as information on how you guys can help the project out. So watch out for details folks.

The Comic and Kickstarter

Hi Everyone

My comic project 'The Intrepid Endeavours of Cornelius Blow' is finally making good progress with 48 pages planned out ready for assembly. This project has been a big part of my creative life for several years now and it feels really good to actually have a plan and product starting to happen.
The comic is a steampunk adventure with reluctant superpowers and mad science. What more could you want. Unlike many comics it will be presented in a very different way which is something I'm hoping will make it stand out from the crowd.
I'm currently in the process of researching a kickstarter for it so that all these years of hard work can finally be brought to all you lovely people. So for now all I'm asking is for you to spread the word about the project and if possible fill in this simple survey question below.

Thank you and I shall keep you updated of progress.

Projects Galore

Good morning all.

It's been a while since I updated the blog with any of my projects so thought I'd let you know what's happening in the pickle jar.

The obvious big thing at the moment is the shop in both online and physical format. www.wearemadeby.com This takes up a lot of my time but I'm slowly starting to get back into the rhythm of other projects as well.

Other than the shop (which by the way you should all visit and buy stuff so I can become wealthy :-D) I am working on a comic anthology with some comic friends which will be launched at Nottingham Comic Con later this year the. The comic is for all ages and is a great collaboration with each of us writing and drawing the others comics.

I am also working on a project which has been ongoing for several years now in some way shape or form 'Project Cornelius'. Very grand sounding I know.
I have been writing a steampunk comic for several years on and off called 'The Intrepid Endeavours of Cornelius Blow' and I'm finally getting to a point where I can actually create it. When I first started out with the idea a few years back I rushed out a prologue comic.

This was only a very short glimpse into the story but has proved quite popular. Now that I have the main story scripted out all I need to do is sit down and draw it.

On top of this already huge project I am developing a tabletop game based around the Cornelius story. It will be a cross between a board game, a card game, and a miniature war game which should hopefully make it a very unique prospect. I have already been sculpting models for it and developing rules as well as creating artwork and short stories. All of which when combined should give a really deep background that will make it very interesting and playable.

As this is something I want to follow through to manufacture and sale etc. I will be posting updates on the blog as regular as I can to keep you all up to date on progress. If you have any questions feel free to  comment or email at clumsypickle@hotmail.co.uk
