The latest cards

Hello Everybody. I thought I'd write a little post to show you some of the greetings cards I've been making over the past few months. I've been working on a range of graphic cards with this and the 'You're my Lobster' card being the first. There are a load more sat on the computer ready to go to print too so more updates soon. 

These cards are all hand made from vintage card games. The top ones are from a 1950s happy families game and the bottom ones are Lexicon which i used to love playing when I was younger.

These Burlesque cards are the first cards I ever made several years ago now. They are a little bit of fun and still a great seller. I am always working on new cards and we will have all sorts of new ones available soon. You can buy all of these cards on our website here. 

Project Cornelius

As I am working full steam ahead on what I'm affectionately calling 'Project Cornelius' aka the comic and kickstarter 'The Intrepid Endeavours of Cornelius Blow' I thought I would add a page to the top of the site so you can see exactly where everything is. I will carry on writing blog updates etc however the bulk of the information will be on the page.

Over the next few weeks there will be sneaky peeks of pages and artwork as well as information on how you guys can help the project out. So watch out for details folks.

Custom Kicks

Hi folks
As part of 'Made By' I have been working on all sorts of different creative things lately. One of the most well received has to be the Custom Kicks.

The custom kicks are hand painted canvas shoes in pretty much any design you can think of. So far I have done quite a few tattoo inspired pairs, as well as adventure time kids shoes. In the shop I also have some Marvel superhero ones I've been working on.

The Comic and Kickstarter

Hi Everyone
My comic project 'The Intrepid Endeavours of Cornelius Blow' is finally making good progress with 48 pages planned out ready for assembly. This project has been a big part of my creative life for several years now and it feels really good to actually have a plan and product starting to happen.  The comic is a steampunk adventure with reluctant superpowers and mad science. What more could you want. Unlike many comics it will be presented in a very different way which is something I'm hoping will make it stand out from the crowd.  I'm currently in the process of researching a kickstarter for it so that all these years of hard work can finally be brought to all you lovely people. So for now all I'm asking is for you to spread the word about the project and if possible fill in this simple survey question below. Survey

Projects Galore

Good morning all.
It's been a while since I updated the blog with any of my projects so thought I'd let you know what's happening in the pickle jar.
The obvious big thing at the moment is the shop in both online and physical format. www.wearemadeby.com This takes up a lot of my time but I'm slowly starting to get back into the rhythm of other projects as well.
Other than the shop (which by the way you should all visit and buy stuff so I can become wealthy :-D) I am working on a comic anthology with some comic friends which will be launched at Nottingham Comic Con later this year the. The comic is for all ages and is a great collaboration with each of us writing and drawing the others comics.
I am also working on a project which has been ongoing for several years now in some way shape or form 'Project Cornelius'. Very grand sounding I know.  I have been writing a steampunk comic for several years on and off called 'The Intrepid Endeavours of Cornelius Blow' and I'm finally getting to a point where I can actually create it. When I first started out with the idea a few years back I rushed out a prologue comic.

This was only a very short glimpse into the story but has proved quite popular. Now that I have the main story scripted out all I need to do is sit down and draw it.
On top of this already huge project I am developing a tabletop game based around the Cornelius story. It will be a cross between a board game, a card game, and a miniature war game which should hopefully make it a very unique prospect. I have already been sculpting models for it and developing rules as well as creating artwork and short stories. All of which when combined should give a really deep background that will make it very interesting and playable. 
As this is something I want to follow through to manufacture and sale etc. I will be posting updates on the blog as regular as I can to keep you all up to date on progress. If you have any questions feel free to  comment or email at clumsypickle@hotmail.co.uk

The New Web Store

Hello everybody.
Over the last few months I've been really busy working on the fantastic extension to the Pickle. Namely our cool shop in Grimsby 'Made By'. Its been hard work as im sure anybody setting up a business/shop will tell you but were starting to get a lot more people through the door from word of mouth which is a fantastic and underrated form of advertising. As well as the shop I built a little web shop which served a purpose but was generally speaking pretty pants. Now however I've been busy squirrelling away and have finally launched the new site. Yes you heard correct the new webshop is live and ready for your perusal. 

It has a lot more fancy stuff going on behind the scenes including security features as well as new stock and new layout which should make your shopping experience run more smoothly. So if you're in or around the Grimsby area please feel free to drop in the shop and say hello. However if you can't make it for what ever reason then now you can buy with confidence online and still get all the same cool stuff.

Made By

Hi everyone. Its been really exciting here as on Saturday the 19th we launched our new shop Made By. This has taken up a lot of our time hence the lack of blog posts over the last few weeks. 

We had a little press launch on the 17th which was well recieved leading to a full page article in the Grimsby Telegraph. Followed by the grand launch on the Saturday. Things have been going steadily since and we are now starting to expand on the stock and change the displays around etc. As this is our first shop its quite a learning curve but i can tell you now it's so satisfying and fun trying to work it all out and make it the best we can.
